Differences Between Single Point And Multi-point

Characteristics of Gas Single Point Device

It uses the negative pressure of the engine to suck natural gas out of the third stage chamber of the pressure reducer, and then uses a mixer to suck the mixture of natural gas and air into the engine through the throttle valve and intake duct for combustion.

Advantages
Low cost, easy to operate.
Disadvantages
Poor stability and high requirements for the original vehicle operating conditions. Due to the fact that it is a suction intake method and its intake channel is too long, if the air filter is not tightly sealed, it can easily cause the mixture to become lean during the intake process, resulting in insufficient power or flashback. Due to the high ignition point and weak explosive power of natural gas, there are high requirements for the ignition system and cylinder pressure of the engine. Due to the above reasons, it can be

summarized as common faults such as poor starting and power performance, and easy flashback.
Characteristics of Gas Multipoint Direct Injection Device
The multi-point direct injection device, in contrast to a single point, is a positive pressure device. Its pressure reducer only has one or two stages of pressure reducing chambers, and the second or third stage is completed by the gas injection rail for the final pressure reducing work. The fuel rail is a gas device that fully simulates the fuel injection system of the original vehicle. Each nozzle on the fuel rail is connected by a hose to a joint located near the engine root of the intake duct.

Advantages
Good stability, the gas direct injection device simulates the working mode of the original vehicle's oil circuit, and the channel for the relative mixture to enter the engine will be much shorter, which will not cause the mixture ratio to be too lean and reduce the engine's power performance and starting performance. It also avoids the phenomenon of backfire caused by the ignition system. The maintenance cycle is long. Due to the installation of an ECU for the gas system to simulate the working principle of the original vehicle's fuel injection system, the gas driver program can be used to adjust the intake system during the operation of the gas system, ultimately achieving the best working

mode. This can be said to improve the shortcomings of all single point installations. Easy to operate, the gas in the cylinder will automatically switch to the oil circuit after being used up.

Disadvantages
The maintenance cost is high. Generally speaking, all single point and multi-point gas devices have a warranty period. During the warranty period, all parts replacement and repair costs are free, and fees will be charged outside the warranty period. Because multi-point devices are more expensive than single point devices, the cost of later maintenance and replacement will also be higher than single point devices.
